About the artist

Raymond is an accomplished artist who has honed his skill over many years, studying both in Australia and overseas. Raymond commenced his art study with Blackfriers Institute in Sydney, NSW during 1960, when he embarked on a commercial art course, specialising in cartooning and illustration.
He was a member of the Australian Black and White Artists Association, and for a number of years contributed his work to various publications, most notably the Australasian Post magazine. During 1970, he began his studies in fine art, and sought out tuition under the guidance of several notable Australian artists.
Raymond specialises in producing oil paintings depicting the Australian landscape, for which he has gained high acclaim within the artistic community. During 2009, he was featured as a demonstrating artist in the prestigious Australian Artist’s Palette Magazine. He has exhibited throughout Australia and overseas, and a number of his works are held in private collections.
Raymond is an exhibiting artist with the Sherbrooke Art Society of Victoria, and the Macedon Art Group. He currently resides in Kyneton, Victoria where he maintains a working studio.
